Comments from the owner

Over the last two years “A Star” has had a very in depth restoration starting from the hull up. The topsides have been professionally prepared and sprayed using AwlGrip two pack product . Then polished and buffed. The engines have been serviced with the Starboard engine being removed and rebuilt. The cylinder head has been completely reconditioned and a liner was fitted to one of the bores with new main and big end bearings fitted. A new heat exchanger was also fitted. The engines have steamed from Fowey to Portland and recently steamed from Portland to Portsmouth . Internally a full refit has been completed including full refurbishment of all woodwork, re upholstered with completely new foam in the cushions, new worktops and sink in the galley . The heads have also undergone the same level of refurbishment and modernisation . New lighting fitted,  all decks externally and internally have been fitted with a modern artificial teak finish . This is just a brief overview of the refit as there is far to much to list. The amount spent on the refit up to now has been in excess of £40,000.
