How it all began:
The first prototypes of the legendary BAVARIA 707 sailing boat were launched in 1978 in the window factory of BAVARIA YACHTS founder Winfried Herrmann in Giebelstadt. It quickly became clear that yacht building would not just be a second mainstay. Just one year later, Herrmann took off with the production of the BAVARIA 808, laying the foundations for one of the most successful yacht shipyards.
Almost 160 further sailing yacht models have followed to date. Just one year after its premiere, the latest BAVARIA C46 is already one of the most successful sailing boats from Giebelstadt.
And so it went on:
At the beginning of the 2000s, Winfried Herrmann entered a new market: from then on, motorboats were also to be built in the Giebelstadt shipyard. The BMB – BAVARIA MOTORBOATS brand was born. The BMB 27 SPORT made its debut on the motorboat market.
