Luxury Sportiness.

Luxury Sportiness. The essence of the Bavaria R40, designed by Robert Chaffer (EX  Princess Yachts) and built by Bavaria Yachts, the model has been loved by boaters all around the world since her debut in 2016.

Designed for power and manoeuvrability, the R40 has become one of the most popular models to date. Fitted with DPI drives, allowing for a seamless gear change even at low speeds and twin Volvo Penta D6-380s (380hp each), the R40 effortlessly cuts through the waves giving a top speed of 36 knots.

The R40 is highly customisable, down to the very nature of the boat herself with the option to go for an R40 Coupe or an R40 Fly. Options extend to amenities such as a dishwasher in the galley, opening aft sunroof and so on. With so much choice for owners, every need out on the water can be fulfilled.

Up on deck – wide, uncluttered side decks sweep down port and starboard. Guardrails and grab rails are fitted on each side for added ease when walking on deck.  At the bow is a large area for sunbathing and making the most of your time on the water, which can be fitted with cushions and a bimini for shade.

Optional joystick control gives you even more ability to control every inch of the boat from the helm, whilst large sliding windows to both port and starboard allows for easy access to the midships cleats, making berthing a breeze.

Chic style continues from the sleek, exterior lines to the luxurious interior, meticulously thought-out to maximise onboard comfort. The aft cockpit features a large seating area with an additional fridge, perfect for keeping beers cold at sea. The sliding doors to the main cockpit can be set up to open fully either side, creating a sense of flow right the way through the boat.

The galley seamlessly fits into the portside of the boat, maximising the use of space in the cockpit. With smart counter tops there is plenty of space to cook up an excellent meal whilst onboard. The popular option for a drop-down table in the saloon gives the boat an extra double berth for guests or simply a spacious day bed to curl up on. Optional TV preparation in the saloon adds to onboard comforts.

At the helm is everything you need to control every aspect of the boat. Twin displays can be used to show engine data on one side and charts on the other, whilst the aft docking camera makes berthing even easier. Bennet trim tabs help with efficiency on the water, by giving additional control over the boat’s position of the plane. The bowthruster fitted as standard gives an increased level of manoeuvrability.
